Songs & Poems
Is it rain?
Is it rain? Is it rain?
That falls onto the open land,
down to the rivers,
out to the sea.
Is it the sun? Is it the sun?
That dries all the rain back up,
opens the flowers
that feed on the mist.
What's that stuff that's freezing cold,
falls on your head
lands on your nose?
Making a snowball
Throwing it at your friends...
I can't wait for snow!
Is it wind? Is it wind?
That blows all the leaves away,
covers the sea with waves,
and moves all the clouds.
Little Raindrops
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun,
and I say, It's all right
Little darling
It's been a long, cold lonely winter
Little darling
It feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun...Little darling
The smiles returning to the faces
Little darling
It seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Little darling
I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling
It seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun...
The Wind
Winter
Blankets of snow,
Christmas lights a glow
The sleigh bells ring and away we go
The cold wind blows
We're dressed from head to toes
In a hat,
Boots, mittens
And a comfy coat
Winter is the coldest time of the year
'Tis the season,
It's the reason
Snow and ice appear
The trees are bare
Snow's everywhere
Can you see your breath
In the frosty air?
With shorter days and longer nights
We'll see the magic
In the stars tonight
Nature is quieter
And animals will rest
Some sleep late, or hibernate
That's what they do the best!
We'll ski and skate and play til late
We'll build a snowman
And celebrate
We'll slip and slide, toboggan ride
It's so much fun
At winter time x2
This winter wonderland is mine!
Never smile at a crocodile
Never smile at a crocodile
No, you can't get friendly with a crocodile
Don't be taken in by his welcome grin
He's imagining how well you'd fit within his skin
Never smile at a crocodile
Never tip your hat and stop to talk awhile
Never run, walk away, say good-night, not good-day
Clear the aisle but never smile at Mister Crocodile
